Sara Glenn is a native of Aurora, Illinois who developed her love of Door County while spending her childhood summers first in Gills Rock and later in Ephraim. After graduating from Georgetown University and working in Chicago for several years, Sara made Door County her permanent home in 2002. She has worked as a Realtor® since then, and also helped found Door County Living, a local lifestyle magazine. Sara earned her broker’s license in 2005 and her Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) designation in 2006. In 2008, Sara and four other well-known area real estate professionals joined to form True North Real Estate, LLC. Over the years, Sara has relished living amidst the natural beauty of the Door Peninsula and doesn’t miss the Chicago rush hour commute. “Where else could I spot a bald eagle on the way to work or hit a hiking trail in a state park five minutes after leaving the office,” she reflects. Sara enriches her experience by serving on the Peninsula Players Theatre Board of Directors and supporting other favorite non-profits such as the Peninsula School of Art and the Ephraim Historical Foundation. She also serves on the Ephraim Board of Appeals and the Door County Board of Realtors® MLS Board. Sara is pleased that the company she helped found has grown to help many other entrepreneurs buy and sell spaces to fulfill their dreams. She also enjoys helping families and individuals find their true homes - from rustic farmhouses to beachside cottages to spacious condominiums. “Real estate in Door County is not like real estate anywhere else,” she says. In keeping with Door County’s unofficial ban on franchises, Sara and her colleagues have grown the True North brand, a local original. “By leading our own, independent company we can respond to the unique environment that is Door County.”
