As we mark our 15 year anniversary this week, the team at True North is celebrating last year’s accomplishments while we plan for another year of expert service in Door County’s unique real estate market.
True North Real Estate proudly made real estate history for the second consecutive year in 2022 by working hard for our clients to surpass $100 million dollars in combined listing and sales. According to Door County Multiple Listing Service data, the ten-person brokerage at True North Real Estate outperformed sixty-seven other member brokerages with more than $113 million in combined listing and sales. The consecutive years mark the only time in Door County real estate history that any office has surpassed $100M in sales.
Our expertise and experience in this localized market shapes our approach in 2023. Demand for real estate continues to outpace supply here in Door County. This poses many challenges for our clients. At True North Real Estate we build custom strategies for our clients that maximize our local connections, our clients’ new found ability to work remotely, respect for our environment, sustainability for our communities and guidance through today’s demanding lending markets.

in the words of our customers
There is no way to describe Sara [Glenn, True North Partner] in words other than superlatives. On a Wednesday afternoon, we met in her office and described what we thought would be the ideal Door County condominium. On Thursday afternoon she showed us 5 possibilities, although we could have stopped at #2 – it was the ideal made real.
On Friday afternoon Sara clearly explained the Wisconsin real estate purchase process (we’re from out of state) and drew up the contract conveying our offer. And on Saturday afternoon the offer was accepted.
Beginning immediately, Sara gave us expert guidance through a tight 21-day closing timeline that went without the hint of a hitch. In the meantime, she put us in touch with people from her network of experts – inspector, painter, local insurance broker, and title company manager – all of whom provided us with immediate, friendly assistance.
Sara Glenn is a superbly knowledgeable, responsive real estate professional who listens, anticipates, and delivers, all with the easygoing, personal manner of an old friend. She’s as good as it gets.

Our own Tad Gilster, who is more of a trail-oriented winter fat tire biker, has introduced several friends and family members to the sport: “They’re almost always amazed at how stable, how quick and how much fun fat tire bikes can be, especially when riding bikes with studded tires on snow,” says Tad. “There’s a certain freedom in wintertime riding — the whole concept is counter-intuitive but, because it works for all levels cycling skillsets, it allows the participant to define the experience for her or himself. It’s also a platform for unique adventures. I’ve ridden out to Chambers Island a couple of times and I’m sure that several other winter bikers have, too.”
